The city of Minsk is preparing for a massive development of a brand new district near Kalodzishchy. The name for the projected district is Zeliony Bor (translated as Green Pine Forest), and preparations for the development have already started.

The new district is projected to have a population of around 150,000. The construction of the new houses will take place on land between the Kalodzishchy-2 settlement and the already finished Green Haven district of townhouses and low-rise apartment complexes. The internal yards in the district are expected to be parking-free zones, so they will have no cars parked or moving. This will make the territory around the houses safer for children.

The district is projected to grow on land currently covered by thick pine forests, and the developers are planning to retain as much of the green as they can and integrate it into the finished district layouts. As the district is projected to be quite large and have a substantial population, the developers are planning to integrate schools, kindergartens, gyms, polyclinics and other essentials so that the residents have their needs covered.

Even though Kalodzishchy is officially a suburban settlement of its own, the new districts, located to the South of Kalodzishchy are slated for inclusion into Minsk proper, as an official part of the city.

According to the developer, the documentation for the project is ready, and the initial stages of the development of this area have begun. As of 2026, the approach roads to the area have been prepared, while the laying of the utility lines has started and is ongoing, and the construction of the first housing units is planned to start by the end of the year.
