Minsk City Line Trains are a welcome addition to the transport network Minsk, allowing movement within the city and connecting the suburbs with the city center.
Minsk Central Railway Station is located in the centre of the city, and the station radiates 4 railway lines outward across the city in 4 different directions. The Minsk City Rail Lines allow citizens convenient and comfortable movement within the city and in the suburbs.
One of the city rail lines goes to Zaslavl, and three of the stops on the Zaslavl line are within the city proper. The first stop after the Minsk Central Station is Minsk-Northern. It is located in north-central Minsk and has straight underground passage to the Youth Metro Station of the Auto Plant line. Masiukovshina is the next stop, and it takes passengers to the north-western district of Minsk of the same name. Next comes the Swan Pond stop, named after a small biological reserve of the same name located nearby that has the eponymous small pond. Swan Pond is the final station within the boundaries of the city. The suburb stops are Zhdanovichy, Minsk Sea and Ratamka, with the city line trains ultimately reaching Zaslavl.
There is a Minsk city rail line going South-east to the Rudensk station. Only two of the stops are within the city boundaries. They are Minsk-Southern and Loshitsa. The Minsk-Southern station is located on the edge of the new Minsk World residential complex that includes Minsk International Financial Center. Loshitsa is named after the southern Minsk district of the same name.
The third and final currently active line of Minsk City Rail takes passengers to Smolevichy, a satellite town of Minsk. Only three of the stops are within the city boundaries. Minsk-Eastern is located within the central area of Minsk and the train stop also has an underground passage to the Proletariat Station of the Auto Plant Line. The next stop is called The Tractor Plant, and it is a stop that can take workers to and from the Minsk Tractor Plant industrial complex. The final railway stop within the city proper is Stepianka, named after a district of the same name. The next stop is called Aziaryshcha, and it is located outside of the Minsk ring road, but formally it is considered to be a part of the city. Aziaryshcha stop is locate not far from the Urutcha and Great Forest districts of Minsk. The next stop is Kalodzishchy, and the city train eventually reaches the town of Smolevichy.
A fourth city rail line is projected to take passengers in the South-Western direction.
